Alex Dvorak is an award-winning Latina screenwriter and journalist published in The Washington Post, HuffPost, Business Insider, POPSUGAR, and more. She was recently profiled in People Magazine, detailing her rise from high-fashion runway model to writer of hit indie film BAD SURVIVOR. Alex is the author of an upcoming original graphic novel soon to be announced and she is signed to Inkwell Literary Agency. Alex wrote, directed, and starred in the film BAD SURVIVOR, inspired by her first 24 hours in cancer remission, which celebrated its LA premiere at Slamdance Film Festival 2025. She is a proud advocate of Teen Cancer America. Alex is a programmer for Slamdance 2026. As the daughter of immigrants from clashing cultures, a teen cancer survivor, and a runway model, Alex writes stories of teen rebellion based on real-life experiences with authenticity, dark humor, and heart.
