Alex Dvorak is an award-winning Latinx screenwriter and journalist published in The Washington Post, HuffPost, Business Insider, POPSUGAR, and more. She is the author of an upcoming (2026) YA graphic novel soon to be announced. Her narrative short film BAD SURVIVOR, inspired by her first 24 hours in cancer remission, is an Official Selection of Slamdance Film Festival 2025, an Academy Award Qualifying Festival in Los Angeles. As the daughter of immigrants from clashing cultures, a teen cancer survivor, and a runway model, Alex writes stories of teen rebellion based on real-life experiences with authenticity, dark humor, and heart.
